Hi Dan,
Just to let you know, the pontoon boat is great! Myself and my family are thoroughly enjoying it and we are using it often. Thank you, and the staff, for all of your help getting me the boat as quickly as possible. And special thanks to Pierre for bringing the boat to Wendover for me and showing me how to operate it.
Sincerely,
Shawn

Hey guys,
Somebody pinch me - can that beauty really be mine? It will take a few days to "sink" in!
Anyway, thank you again for all the work you did to make this happen and for your patience in putting up with my numerous phone calls...you all did an outstanding job.
Here are a few pictures you can all enjoy and I will let you know next week how many Americans will have drooled over the boat during this weekend's fishing expedition.
Cheers,
Chris
Hi,
"The boat I have is a Campion Chase 580 with a 175 Evinrude Etech on the back. I did opt for the 35th anniversary package mainly for the sound system which is incredible. Please let Gord know that I am extremely pleased with my boat. It performs well beyond my expectations; also the level of engineering and quality of workmanship/ materials is phenomenal.
Also, make sure to tell Gord that Marc Savage at Orleans Boat World in Ottawa was one of the main reasons I went with Campion over all the competition. His shop really did a fantastic job of filling me in on why Campion is the right choice (besides being Canadian made which was a big factor in our decision). I think they were as excited as I was when I went for my test run."
If you could pass this along to the Elliotts that would be great.

Dearest Myles,
Just wanted to give you an update on the weekend o' fun.
The maiden "solo" voyage took place on Saturday morning at Petrie Island. Talk about a cramped docking and launching area, but after 29 attempts at backing the freakin' trailer into the water, we were successful, and we spun around the same area of the river as you took us out on. Becks practiced like you had me practice, and I did the same. We had several nibbles, a couple of decent hits, but no fishes in the live well.
Upon returning to shore, it was again a comedy of errors getting the hang of the backing up of the trailer into the water. I successfully backed it in at a 90 degree angle somehow, but Becks rescued me, and she finally got it in the water straight. My duty was to load the boat on the trailer, which was awesome once I figured out where the wind was coming from, and I only drifted into one boat at the dock (no injuries or damage to report) but at the end I landed the boat dead center on the trailer, and we headed home.
Day two was on Madawaska Lake Monday morning. Another frustrating attempt to launch but we were better than day one. We hit the water and found that running at almost full throttle, and trimming up to the "zone" we were running at about 5500 rpm, almost 6000. We drove it around mostly to break in the motor. We didn't keep it at full rip, we varied our speeds, practiced turns, backing up and hitting our wake to get familiar with the action the boat has. Oh, did I mention we forgot our tackle boxes? We are looking forward to the day our heads are no longer up our butts.
All in all, WE LOVE IT!!!! We plan to practice backing the trailer up over at the Scotiabank Place to get a better grip on how sensitive the steering is, and develop more confidence.
We didn't hold anyone up at the launch, so that was a good thing. We went really early in the morning 6:00am to avoid any incidents and embarrassments.
We plan to take her out again this week for an evening fish. Probably out to Quigely Hill or Petrie. The Shirley's Bay Ramp is big and nice, and not busy, but the water is too high and the launch is too steep, so the ass end of my Tuscon goes in and the mufflers go in the water. Next week it's off to Lake Nipissing for a week.
Thanks so much!! I'll keep you posted on further developments.
Cheers Buddy!
Dee
